Urban League helps with filing discrimination complaints

Recognizing the vital role advocacy plays in addressing issues of parity, the Minneapolis Urban league (MUL) is partnering with the Minneapolis Civil Rights Department's (MDCR) Complaint Investigations Unit (CIU) www.ci.minneapolis. mn.us/civil-rights/. This partnership will increase access to the complaint process, as well as educate community members about their rights under the Minneapolis Civil Rights Ordinance. Now a MDCR Complaint Investigator will conduct walk-in intakes for all allegations of discrimination the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 2100 Plymouth Ave. N. Intake hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. To speak to a complaint investigator about discrimination contact Minneapolis Department of Civil Rights, Complaint Investigations Unit, 612-673-3012. Regular MDCR intake hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. (or by appointment) at the downtown office, Public Service Center 250 South 4th Street Suite B-15.
