FIREWORKS - Be a Good Neighbor!
Neighbors shooting off fireworks can be extremely disruptive, especially when homes are close to each other, people are trying to sleep and pets are frightened. Fireworks can also be very dangerous. Be careful this summer and make sure you know what's legal and what's not in Minneapolis.
Legal: Examples include sparklers, cones, tubes that spark, snakes, party poppers. You may use them in your yard or on your sidewalk.
Not legal: Fireworks that go "boom" or take off; firecrackers, bottle rockets, missiles, roman candles, mortars and shells. It is illegal to use any fireworks on public property, including roads, alleys, schools and parks.
Call 911 to report illegal fireworks: Please provide the exact address and a description of the person or people setting off the fireworks.
