WCNO Board Meeting: Thursday, May 2, 6:30 p.m. at Webber Park (4400 Dupont Avenue North). Minneapolis City Council President Barbara Johnson and MPRB Commissioner Jon Olson will be guest speakers. 

 

 4th Precinct Community Court Watch – May 14: Court Watch is hosting three Criminal Justice forums for the community. The first forum, The Players, was April 9 at Folwell Park and featured presenters from Minneapolis 911, MPD 4th Precinct, City and Hennepin County Attorneys’ Office and public defenders. Many of the folks who attended had questions which were answered by the agency representatives. The second forum in the series, The Judges, is Tuesday, May 14, 6:30 p.m. at Folwell Park. Residents are encouraged to attend and participate in the discussion. This forum will focus on the Judiciary and Judges from the 4th District Court will attend. The final forum, The Outcome, is June 11, same time and place, with presenters from the Department of Corrections, Parole, Probation and re-entry. The purpose of 4th Precinct Court Watch is to promote sentencing accountability within the criminal justice system.  

 

Northside Street Race: The Northside Street Race will not be held this year and will return in May of 2014 with a focus on youth and community. WCNO is in discussions with Patrick Henry High School about their possible involvement. Webber-Camden residents who would like to be part of the discussion and planning should contact the office at 612-521-2100. Board Member Eric Nystrom is taking the lead on this project.   

 

The WCNO Office is open for faxing, copying and notary public services: We are pleased to again offer free copying, faxing and notary public services. The office hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. The limit is 10 pages per fax.
