Live on the Drive - July 8 - Sweet Colleens
Walk or roll on down to 34th and Victory Memorial Parkway for the July 8 concert featuring the Sweet Colleens. Bring a picnic and enjoy the high-energy, crowd pleasing mix of Celtic folk-rock and alt. county/Americana, with Cajun and Caribbean seasonings. The concert begins at 6 p.m. in the most beautiful concert setting in the City!
Unfortunately, the first concert of 2010 had to be canceled because of the threat of severe weather which could have put both performers and the audience at risk. The concert featuring Fred and Jevetta Steele, will be rescheduled for a future date.
Saturday Nights at the Movies
Join the Cleveland Neighborhood and Victory Neighborhood in partnership with the Minneapolis Park Board as we play host to a series of movies along Victory Memorial Parkway. On Saturday, June 26 we will be showing Princess Bride and on Saturday, July 24 Men in Black at Dowling and Victory Memorial Parkway. On Friday, August 27 check out The Princess and the Frog at Victory Park (45th Avenue at Upton Avenue) and on Saturday, August 28 at Dowling and Victory Memorial Parkway the film is a viewer's choice. Vote online at www.mplsmusicandmovies.com Choices are Jurassic Park, Willow, Alice in Wonderland (2009), Back to the Future, College Road Trip and Remember the Titans. Voting ends on August 14. Landscape Grants Still Available
