"Sometimes small is big." My inner saboteur can sure take the fun out of being an artist! One of the tricks he plays on me (I say "he" because an image of the Tasmanian Devil character comes to mind; I actually dubbed him "TazAmya" because he zaps me cold) is to tell me that I need a big chunk of time to do my art. Really? Well, I find that doing something fun and small tickles my creative self into action. Here's one idea I've tried with success.

Emanating a gentle, sensitive and kind demeanor Jamie Carter has a dedicated career as both a guitarist and music educator (although his second love is baseball). Jamie also worked in the MBL league and played locally for many years as a second baseman. Jamie and his wife Bridgette (a percussionist) have owned a home in Camden for five years.

This Live on the Drive summer concert promises to be a real pick-me-up as The Sweet Colleens bring their crowd-pleasing mix of Celtic folk-rock and alt. country Americana to "The Drive." The concert is free and will be held on Thursday, July 8 from 6-8 p.m. at Victory Memorial Drive and 34th Ave. N; one of the most beautiful concert settings in the city.
